Maiden Security Meeting of Stakeholders at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, OAUSTECH, Okitipupa.

The issue of security of lives and properties in the host communities of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology OAUSTECH, Okitipupa is a joint business of all.

This fact emerged on Wednesday 28th July, 2021 at the Maiden security meeting of the stakeholders at the main auditorium of the University.

As part of measures to strengthen security Traditional rulers, security experts and community development committee made contributions in the security challenges facing students and the solutions to them.

The Secretary to the Ondo State Government Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu when speaking at the Summit, said it’s ideal to provide accommodation for the students on Campus.

She however, urged students to be more considerate and decently dressed on and off Campus to avoid seducing the male gender.

The Regent of Ayeka Kingdom, His Royal Highness Princess Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa and the Regent of Ibulesoro, His Royal Highness Moyinoluwa Faloro at the event.

The Nigeria Police Area Commander Okitipupa, Division ACP Emmanuel Idowu represented by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Wole Ogolo who spoke on crime prevention and how to protect properties against external pressure, urged the school management to build a mutual relationship with the Police.

According to him, building the way forward for the sustenance of existing peace was crucial. The Security Summit is aimed at giving them necessary orientation capable of guiding the students to be useful and security conscious.

The Abodi of Ikale land, His Royal Majesty, Oba George Faduyile commended the efforts of the school management, community development committee and other dignitaries who were present to grace the occasion.

It was resolved that there should be joint patrol in the host communities with students living peacefully with their hosts.
