Historically, Prince Parigha Lumure and Abodi Jabado left their ancestral father, Oba Esigie of Benin Kingdom, who reigned between 1504 and 1550, to find Ikaleland. Prince Parigha Lumure was a hunter and a warrior , who with Abodi Jabado, migrated from Benin in about 1520 to Akotogbo to settle at Irele , before crossing Oluwa River to settle and establish Ayeka kingdom. The Lumure dynasty and his descendants were hunters and warriors who were the Vanguard forces , assisted by Ogundugbuja, the first Jegun of Idepe to fight the boundary war ‘ Ogun Udoko’ between Ikale forces and the Ondo people.
The Lumure descendants have resolved to keep the legacy of their forefathers alive , who are hunters and warriors, hence the rebirth and launching of the Lumure Hunters Association, for which we now seek financial assistance from all and sundry for the procurement of equipment for their operations and administration.
