A SUSPECT IN A CASE OF MOTOR CYCLE THEFT

A suspect in a case of motor cycle theft has been arraigned today before a Magistrate court at Igbotako. The suspect is one Mr. Idowu Netufo, male – 29 years of Market Road, Agirifon, Ilu titun, in Okitipupa Local Govt.
According to the charge shit which was made available to Awawa FM Reporters at Ilutitun Divisional Police Office , the accused was said to have committed the crime on the 26th March, 2022 at St. Augustine Primary school playground where he did steal a Boxer Bajaj motorcycle with the market value of #370, 000. naira. The motorsycle belong to one Frederick Adebanjo.
The accused by stealing the motorsycle has committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 390, sub section 9 of the criminal code cap
37, vol2, Laws of Ondo State 2006.
While speaking with Awawa FM Reporters, Segun Isaac and Bankole Morakinyo, the police prosecutor , Inspector Odunayo Ayeobasan said the accused was caught in the act of stealing the Bajaj motorsycle and was handed over to the police by some youth of the town who prevented him from being lynched by angry mob.
The matter was adjourned to 31st of of March 2022 for further hearing.
