The renovation of the road project which is handled by Dutum Construction company started July last year.

One of the site Engineers from Dutum construction company, who spoke with Awawa FM stated the challenges faced in the ongoing renovation of the dilapidated road. He however expressed confidence that the project is in it final stage.
The Regent of Ayeka Kingdom, Her Royal Majesty, Princess Barrister Oluyemi Bajowa who shared her thought on the ongoing project expressed her satisfaction on the level of work done so far. She also stated the economic advantage of the road to neighboring towns.
The chairman of the committee seeing to the rehabilitation of the road, Prince Adebayo Ayelomi and the Lumiere Progressive Youth President, Mr. Orimoloye Olarewaju commended the efforts of the Regent of Ayeka, the Governor of Ondo state and the World Bank for ensuring that the renovation of the badly damaged interlink road sees the light of the day.
Also, residents of Ayeka who
spoke with our correspondents expressed their joy and satisfaction over the re-construction of the road.
It will be recalled that gully erosion , a rude effect of climate change contributed to the disintegration of the connecting bridge which had left a gaping hole making it possible for erosion to further destroy the road in the time past.
