There was also a lecture delivered by Alhaja Aminat Akinpelu titled ” the need for Muslims to give out at Ramadan. ” Awawa FM Correspondent who was at the lecture, Bankole Morakinyo reported that the guest lecturer urged Muslim faithful to allow their children to join FOMWAN and actively participate in the activities of the organisation , noting that with this the society will further learn more about the things that are expected of a devout Muslim woman and a dutiful wife.
While pointing out some of the achievement of Fomwan, Alhaja Akinpelu said the organisation has provided palliatives for inmates and Muslim students have benefited from the organisation’s largess particularly during the ongoing ASUU strike by reaching out to undergraduates who did not have the means of going to their respective homes.
Alhaj Akinpelu also led prayer at the gathering.
Chief Taye , the Igbekarama of Igbobini, who represented the Olu of Igbobini ,Oba Dele Raphael at the event gave kudos to FOMWAN, noting that very soon Igbobini will have a community mosque.
