HERDERSMEN INFLICTS DEEP CUTS ON A FARMER IN IKAKUNMO AKOKO

FARMERS IN THE Agrarian COMMMUNITY OF IKAKUMO IN AKOKO NORTH EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT area OF ONDO STATE ARE NOW living IN FEAR and STAYING AWAY FROM THEIR FARMS DUE TO INCESSANT FARMER-HERDER CLASHES.

AWAWA FM Radio GATHERED THAT A 40 YEAR OLD FARMER, MR. IDOWU BAYODE WAS RECENTLY MARCHETED BY TWO HERDSMEN IN HIS FARM.

THE VICTIM ON HIS HOSPITAL BED SAID THAT HE MET TWO PERSONS WHO WERE PLUCKING CASHEW INTO THEIR SACKS ON HIS CASHEW PLANTATION.
ASKING THE TWO MEN QUESTIONS ON THEIR MISSION ON HIS FARM, Mr BAYODE SAID THE TWO MEN POUNCED ON HIM WITH THEIR CUTLASSES, INFLICTING INJURIES ON HIM AS HE CRIED FOR HELP

THE CASHEW FARMER SAID HIS BROTHER LATER CAME TO MEET HIM IN the pool of HIS BLOOD.

THE IKARE DIVITIONAL POLICE OFFICER, OLATUJOYE AKINWANDE WHO CONFIRMED THE INCIDENCE SAID THAT ONE OF THE MEN HAS BEEN ARRESTED.
