As primary and secondary schools resumed today across Ondo state, public schools in Okitipupa have recorded high turnout rate and positive attitude of the students in anticipation of what the new academic term holds.

Speaking with Mr.Samuel Akindutire , the Principal of Stella Marris college,( SMC) Okitipupa, Awawa FM gathered that the high turnout rate of both students and teachers of the school showed a positive attitude to work and readiness on the part of the students for the new academic term.

In the same vein, in a chat with Mrs.Idowu Asogbon , the Principal of Methodist High Schoo( MHS), Okitipupa, she said that the students turned en mass to school earlier this morning. She also advised the students to tighten their belt and take the academic term seriously in order to prepare well for the forthcoming external examinations in the term.

Mrs Asogbon however concluded that the poor economic situation of the nation puts a constraint on the students as they find it difficult to pay the necessary fees for their various examination in the new academic term.

In the other schools visited, the huge population of students on the first day of resumption confirmed the learners’ zeal for teaching and learning activities.
