The lecturers made this disclosure on Thursday, blaming the leadership of the university for denying the academics their due promotion.
They noted that the denial of the arrears is capable of dampening their morale.
ASUU Chairman and Secretary, Professors Biodun Olaniran and Toyin Abegunrin, made these disclosures in a statement titled “LAUTECH Administration: A Slave Driver”.
The duo in the statement made available to newsmen on Thursday put the amount being owed the lecturers at over five billion naira.
They said members have lost confidence in the university administration led by the acting Vice-chancellor and the Deji Omole-led Governing council to pursue their welfare.
