The attention of concerned and politically conscious Nigerians is gradually becoming fixated on the forthcoming Presidential and National Assembly elections slated for 25th February 2023.

preparations are already in top gear as candidates from different part of the country in their various political parties are declaring their intentions and some are still consulting with stakeholders across party divide.

As 2023 elections draw nearer, Nigerians have begun to react on the choice of candidates that will assume the nations most exalted positions both in the Presidency and the National Assembly while there have been serious consideration of the feasibility of the elections with respect to the rising cases of insecurity in the country.

In this special report, Awawa FM correspondent, Tamarauemi Ebimini who spoke with residents of Okitipupa reported that Most residents of the town are certain that General election will hold in 2023 despite the spate of insecurity ravaging the country as they offer prayers to God for his intervention in the country.

A resident who shared a different opinion from the others stressed that solutions should first and foremost be given to the present challenges facing the country before we can beging to consider the 2023 general elections.
