The Mothering Sunday service at St. Peters Military Church ( Protestant) ,19 Batalion , Naquara barracks Okitipupa earlier today was a special one.
UP Sound ( women song).
Lot of activities were packed into the church service such as choir ministration , women special lyrics, children choreography and many more.
it was exclusively the women Sunday as majority of the programmes were anchored by the parish women who wore excited and merry looks as they celebrated their day. The first lesson taken from the book of 1st Samuel Chapter 1 verses 9 to 18 was read by Dr. Mrs. Nwanchukwu.
The Regent of Ayeka kingdom, Her Royal Highness, Princess Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa added glamour to the service as she was made the royal mother and special guest of the mothering Sunday.
The Regent of Ayeka in her sermon at the military church congratulated the women folk for the grace to be alive to celebrate the special day. Quoting from the book of Psalm Chapter 31, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa described women as wonderfully made and naturally endowed. She said God completes salvation of man kind through the women as He had deemed it fit to allow the saviour of the world to come through the womb of a woman, adding that every mother must be prepared to win their battles on their knees in the place of prayer just as Hannah did at Shiloh and she got Samuel through a charged and unceasing prayer, and likewise Rachel .
