The United States Government Exchange Alumni Association has called for an increase in women and youth participation in politics and electoral processes in Nigeria.
The call was made during a Town Hall Meeting in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Tuesday with the theme “Increasing Women and Youth Participation In Politics and Electoral Processes”.
The program was initiated by The United States Government Exchange Alumni Association, Osun State Chapter with the support of the U.S. Consulate General, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Femi Adefila, the Chief Executive Officer, Rave FM 91.7, said women and youth who constitute 101 million and 33.3 million of Nigeria’s population should be encouraged to participate actively in politics.
